Mines narrow leaved Salix alba,
both on the upper and underside of the leaves.
Oviposition is on the leaf and the
young larva often mines along the central vein
for some time before it enters a stem through the
petiole.

Only females can be identified via dissection as adults. Dissection required.

It seems likely that many if not all previous P.saligna records may be this species.

	Determination by Genitalia Examination (gen. det.) Required

	Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.

	Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.
