Common resident.

Crataegus spp., Malus spp., and less often, Pyrus spp. and Prunus spinosa. With larva mining leaves from September to May, at first in a small curved case, then in the spring in a reddish-brown, tubular, trivalved case.

Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.
