Rare resident.

Dactylis, Bromus spp., or other grasses with larva feeding in May mining the stem, sometimes causing wilting of the central shoot and pupating in a white silken cocoon, usually in a leaf sheath of the foodplant. Adults fly around midday in sunshine and may be swept from tall unmown grassy areas. Seems especially associated with cocks-foot grass.
